I am a social practice writer and teaching artist who only recently joined the ranks of full-time writers after twenty years of single-handedly raising an adopted daughter and serving the legal needs of low-income communities.  My work, which often focuses on justice themes, can be found in numerous journals, anthologies, websites, and public places. I'm also the founder of the “Witness Project,” a series of free community writing workshops in Minneapolis.
